After much anticipation, Kendrick Lamar officially releases the short-film and music video, “We Cry Together” co-starring actress and the song’s featured artist, Taylour Paige.
Co-directed by Jake Schreier, Dave Free, Kendrick Lamar, the clip centers Kendrick and Taylour in the midst of a domestic dispute. They trade abusive comments, harsh obscenities, and threats before eventually making up with sex on the couch.
The film was first premiered at the Laemmle Royal Theater in Los Angeles. The song is off Kendrick’s latest album, Mr. Morale & The Hotsteppers, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
