Hot off her Essence Music Festival performance, Janelle Monae does not plan to cool off anytime soon. Such is the case in her new video,”Water Slide”.
The highly-provocative visual is similar to her previous “Lipstick Lover” clip, which finds Monae and her group of scantily-clad eye-candies get wet and wild at an outdoor pool party.
“If I could fuck me right here right now / I would do that / Looking in the mirror at me, my God like who that?,” she whining and dancing topless and rocking out with her band. “Feeling myself, wanna play in it / Splash, make a wave in it / I could spend the whole day in it and I’ma do that.”
“Water Slide” is off Janelle Monae’s fourth album, The Age Of Pleasure, her first LP in nearly five years, featuring 14 tracks with features from Doechii, Seun Kuti, Egypt 80, Grace Jones, Sister Nancy, and more.
