Ashnikko, the blue-haired London-based rapper who shot to viral TikTok success last year with her breakout hit “Stupid,” has teamed up with Grimes for a new single. “Cry” leans into both artists’ nu-metal side with a chunky guitar riff, Ashnikko smoothly transitioning from rapping into singing. “Bitch, are you tryna make me cry?” she wails in the chorus before Grimes enters with some ghostly whispers. The photo-real CGI video, directed by Mike Anderson, depicts Ashnikko and Grimes as demonic alter egos. Watch and listen below.
