Finom — the Chicago duo formerly known as Ohmme and made up of Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart — have announced a new album, Not God, their first LP since changing their name. It was produced by Jeff Tweedy at his The Loft studio. Today, they’re sharing its lead single “Haircut.”
“ʻHaircutʼ was written following the stream of suggested words from Macieʼs phone robot. Somehow this intelligence intuited that we wanted to say ʻnoʼ more– to control more of our own time,” they shared.
“Alex Grelle, one of our favorite artists and collaborators, directed the video for us with a genius group of artists,” Finom continued. “We were inspired by this strange and beautiful France Gall short film that Jeff and Spencer Tweedy showed us while we were recording.”
