Jana Horn Announces New Self-Titled Album: Hear “Go On, Move Your Body”

In 2023, Jana Horn unveiled her sophomore effort, The Window Is The Dream. Now, the Texas-native, New York-based singer-songwriter is announcing its followup, Jana Horn. The crushing lead single “Go On, Move Your Body” is out today with an immaculate music video.

The songs on the new record were mostly written during her first year in the Big Apple. “Moving to New York after graduation had felt almost too right, like an arranged marriage,” she says. “I was pretty unhappy for a while. My life was still in Virginia, where my friends were, in Texas, where my mother was learning to live again after years of being passed from one hospital to the next… I drifted through the city in pajamas, at midday.”

The Travis Kent-directed video for “Go On, Move Your Body” captures the disorientation of being in New York, such as the unfazed nature of subway riders no matter what absurdity is happening. It’s an uplifting accompaniment to a genuine tearjerker (Did the song make me cry? Maybe. Don’t worry about it). Watch below.
