Louisville, Kentucky’s LDB Fest is one of the biggest annual events on the hardcore landscape, and it has recently put a bit more emphasis on non-hardcore bands with hardcore backgrounds. This year, for instance, Basement and Superheaven shared headlining duties with Cold World. And at next year’s LDB, HC faith-keepers Terror will share that headlining spot with Saves The Day, one of the defining emo bands of the Y2K era.
Saves The Day or no Saves The Day, you will have plenty of opportunities to mosh at next year’s LDB Fest, which goes down Feb. 27-28 at Louisville’s Millwood Arts Center. The show will feature veteran OGs like On Broken Wings, All Out War, Bulldoze, and Orthodox, as well plenty of the subculture’s most active current bands: Big Boy, Gridiron, Scarab, Division Of Mind, Combust, Contention, Final Resting Place, Crush Your Soul, Stateside, C4, Burning Lord, Fatal Realm, Wreckage, Face The Pain, Mongrel, Prevention, DBloc, Walk Alone, Hold My Own, Beyond All Doubt, With Hate, Everybody Dies, the Final Agony, Struck, No Guard, Who Laughs Last, and the excellently named xGAARGOYLEx.
Apparently, next year’s LDB will have a PBR sponsorship — pretty funny for a festival as heavily straight-edge as this one. Get yourself some tickets here.
