Back on Crenshaw.
All summer ready, Terrace Martin brings his sounds from Crenshaw with his latest album, Fine Tune.
For his first solo record in nearly two years, the Los Angeles musical extraordinaire kicks off the set with “Degan Dreams” before seguing into his solo number “Snooze”. The 12-track LP includes Keyon Harrold, Justin Tyson, and Dominique Sanders, Alex Isley, Cory Henry, and his Dinner Party cohorts James Fauntleroy, Robert Glasper, and Kamasi Washington.
Fine Tune is the first project off Martin’s Sounds of Crenshaw deal with BMG, which will release six jazz albums, all executive produced by Martin. It is his first album since his 2021 Drones. Earlier this year, the Grammy-nominated artist released Enigmatic Society EP with his Dinner Party group featuring Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, and 9th Wonder.
