On the melodic tune, the controversial rapper from Toronto vents on a troubled relationship by detailing a toxic outing. “How you tryna go viral but you tryna go legit? / Next time you wanna open up, you might just hold this shit”, he raps. “Bully how I beat her pussy, leave her with the swollen lips / Told this lil’ bitch pussy, “Take that call and shot it, hold the grip”.
“Why Did I” follows Tory Lanez’s previous “It Doesn’t Matter” and arrives in the midst of his alleged altercation with August Alsina.
