Earlier this year, Rina Sawayama released her debut album, SAWAYAMA, a smart and satisfying fusion of 2000s pop trends. She’s putting those talents to good use once again by covering “Dance In The Dark,” an underrated gem from Lady Gaga’s 2009 EP The Fame Monster. Sawayama matches the original’s throbbing pulse with an operatic splendor.
The “Dance In The Dark” cover is being released as part of Spotify’s Pride Singles series, which also includes a cover by Orville Peck.
