Following the announcement of her forthcoming album Past The Veil and the release of its title track last month, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Shannon Lay has returned with a lush, placid new single titled “Horizons.”

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Lay emphasizes the importance of staying true to oneself. “’Horizons’ is a reminder to be authentic,” she explains. “We all have a unique perspective and that’s what makes this whole experience so interesting. I love art for that reason; it is someone’s view of the world on display. We need to be as much as we want to be and keep our head up high and we traverse uncertainty. Every step forward makes a difference.”

The release is accompanied by a music video directed by Bailey Salwey, which captures the serene and introspective nature of the song. You can watch the video below.
