A Long-Awaited Solo Return
After a four-year hiatus from releasing a full-length solo project, Thailand-born rapper and producer Thaiboy Digital has officially announced his return with a new album titled Paradise. While he has remained active within the Drain Gang ecosystem—contributing to high-profile projects like Bladee’s Cold Visions and the Rift Two compilation—fans have been eagerly anticipating a dedicated body of work from the artist. Paradise marks a significant shift, as it is crafted in collaboration with the electronic collective swedm®.
The swedm® Connection
The album is a collaborative effort with swedm®, a Drain Gang-adjacent electronic music collective that boasts an impressive roster of talent, including Bladee, Whitearmor, Eurohead, Jamesjamesjames, and Skrillex. This partnership highlights the evolving sound of the collective, which gained significant mainstream attention following their production work on Skrillex’s surprise album released last year. By aligning with this group, Thaiboy Digital is positioning Paradise as a forward-thinking electronic project that bridges the gap between underground rap and experimental dance music.
New Singles and Visuals
To celebrate the announcement, Thaiboy Digital has shared two tracks from the upcoming record. The first, “Silk Road,” is a slick, synth-heavy production that showcases the artist’s refined melodic sensibilities. The second, “Euro Dollar Yen,” serves as a playful, high-energy homage to classic Eurodance, complete with the heavy basslines that defined the genre. Both tracks are accompanied by music videos directed by Idan Barazani, which are embedded below.
Album Details and Release
Paradise is scheduled for release on May 10 via Thaiboy Digital’s own label, Bank Of Star Sound System (B.O.S.S.S.). The tracklist features 13 songs, including a guest appearance from Bladee on the track “Irish Tears.” The full tracklist is as follows:
