In 2023, the Brooklyn-based band Washer returned with their first new album in five years, Improved Means to Deteriorated Ends. Next month, they’re releasing a two-track single dubbed Come Back As A Bug via their longtime home at Exploding In Sound, and today they’re sharing its first song “You’re Also A Jerk.” The band’s Mike Quigley explained: “‘You’re Also A Jerk’ is about the sort of caustic pull of self-hate and how it distorts attempts at analysis into a naval-gazing feedback loop.” Check out a video and Washer’s upcoming run of tour dates below.
