2021 iHeart Music Awards Winners & Performances | Rap Radar

The iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrated music’s biggest starts on Thursday (May 27). The annual event was broadcasted live at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles in front of a vaccinated audience.

The ceremony honored this year’s big wins along with a star-studded line up of presenters including LL Cool J, Nelly, French Montana, and more.

The Weeknd took home Male Artist Of The Year and his hit “Blinding Lights” earned him wins in Best R&B Song, TikTok Bop Of The Year Year, and Titanium Song of the Year. XO opened the ceremony with newly-married Ariana Grande for a first time performance of their chart-topping hit “Save Your Tears (Remix)”.

Roddy Ricch dominated the rap categories with Hip Hop Artist Of The Year, Best New Hip Hop Artist, and Best Hip Hop Song (“The Box”), while Lil Baby’s My Turn grabbed Hip Hop Album Of The Year and Megan Thee Stallion accepted the Best Collaboration award for her “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyonce.

H.E.R. was crowned Female R&B Artist Of The Year and also joined Demi Levato for their tribute performance to Elton John. Snoh Aalegra was honored Best New R&B Artist, Jhene Aiko’s Chilombo was named R&B Album Of The Year and Chris Brown and Young Thug’s “Go Crazy” earned the duo their Best R&B Collaboration.

Other memorable performances included an ascending and extra-terrestrial medley by Doja Cat (“Say So”, “Kiss Me More”), who won Best New Pop Artist during the evening. Usher gave an epic career-spanning performance of “Love In This Club”, “U Don’t Have To Call,” and “DJ’s Got Us Falling In Love Again” and Silk Sonic’s Bruno Mars and Anderson.Paak delivered a sultry and soulful performance of “Leave The Door Open”.
