Tobe Nwigwe Covers “Wake Up Everybody” | Rap Radar

In light of a new day and a new president, Tobe Nwigwe covers a classic performed by Teddy Pendergrass.

Accompanied by his band and back up singers, the Houston musician gave his rendition of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes 1975 hit “Wake Up Everybody”.

The performance was during the “We Are One” celebration on Tuesday night (Jan. 19). The event was hosted by the Biden Inaugural Committee, which celebrated the Black community and African Diaspora.

Over the past couple of Sundays, Tobe Nwigwe’s been serving videos from Cincoriginals LP for his series, Get Twisted Sunday.
