North Carolina power trio Late Bloomer recorded and then scrapped an entire album’s worth of songs before linking up with indie superproducer Justin Pizzoferrato for their 2018 level-up Waiting. Now, years later, they’re revisiting two tracks from those earlier sessions with the new EP Tonight’s No Good For Me, once again mixed by Pizzoferrato. “All The Gold” is right in their Hüsker Dü-influenced punk-rock wheelhouse, while “Soapy Water” is a little softer and spacier without losing its post-hardcore edge.
