To commemorate Prodigy’s 48thbirthday, the late rapper’s estate releases his “Angel” video featuring Faith Evans.
Courtesy of Sylvain Lewis, KK4, and Jordan Tower, the heartfelt visual features archive clips of the Queensbridge veteran and centers Faith Evans belting the hook on a beach.
“‘Cause you got me for life, don’t you worry / I’m all in, baby, you can just say yes,” sings Faith, while Prodigy raps for a woman who has his heart. “You probably the smartest person I know / You put me on to so much shit I never knew before,” raps P. “I put you on to some deep shit that had your mind blown / We belong with each other, you should already know.”
“Angel” is off Prodigy’s latest posthumous album, The Hegelian Dialectic Volume 2: The Book Of Heroine, a 12-track set which features “You Will See” featuring Berto Rich and the DJ Premiere-assisted “Walk Out“. Other guests include Big Noyd, Big Daddy Kane, DJ Scratch, and Chinky.
